Students and Startups Summary

The Code Factory and Carleton University put together a great event called Students and Startups this past Tuesday.

Here is a summary…

To start off, we had opening remarks from Luc Lalande, Toni Baillati, and Manu Sharma. Afterwards, all the Startups were put to one side of the room and all the students were put on the other side. The students all gave a 30 second pitch describing their ideal job. The startups then talked about themselves and who their ideal team members would be… This intro really set the pace for the event.

Ian Graham then initiated a very cool Startup Jeopardy where students and startups in teams competed against each other. A game of Survivor pursued afterwards. All in all, it was a very fun evening. Congratulations to Ottawa for displaying this creativity and initiative! :-)
