Bringing A Little Magic To OTTawa: #GenYOTT
Hey folks!
Some of you may know me, others may not, but my name’s Japman Bajaj, and for the past three years now, I’ve been watching, learning, and absorbing all the magic that takes place in this city’s startup community. We’re lucky to have such a vibrant community. And now, we’re hoping to add to it!
Here’s the deal:
On November 26th 2009, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, Ottawa will be hosting its first ever #GenY event, inspired by the Toronto events which have inspired entrepreneurial, technological, and philanthropic progress.
We’ve undergone the steps to bring the event to Ottawa. #GenYOTT aims to get the best people under, oh, 30 or 35, in one room with the sole purpose of letting people get to know each other.
Wait… What?
That’s right. We’re not trying to get you to start a new business or save the world from some new bacteria. We just want you to meet your fellow amazing people. Because there’s lots of them. And when you get a bunch of great minds hitting it off with one another under one roof, amazing things can happen.
On November 11th, we opened up 60 tickets to the public. As of 1:15am on November 13th, we’re down to 8.
So consider this your invitation. If you’re around 30 or 35 and under, (either on your license plate or at heart!!), this event’s for you. Us young folk have been overlooked enough. We’re tired of it, and it’s time to show what we’re made of! If you want to be a part of this, go to
and register. This is the start of something magical, and as “Hallmark” as that sounds, I can’t seem to find any better word to describe it.
Don’t miss the chance. It’s Free. Sign up. Be a part of it. Get Ready.
It’s time.

I like how i called it a license plate.
I definitely meant “driver’s license”
We can chalk that up to the late-night factor.

Well, the event has sold out!!
BUT!
There’s a waitlist, and we’re quite confident we’ll work out the logistics to release another bunch of tickets, so sign up on the waitlist!
