The Job?

A Typical Week?

  • Meet with the team to revise ongoing tasks
  • Provide feedback and ideas on ways to improve products and processes
  • Interaction with artists and designers
  • Design, code, test and most importantly deliver superb mobile solutions

A Non-Typical Week?

  • Get the highest “Game Center” score of the team on Tiny Wings
  • Defeat Hades in GoW III or get the best lap time in Gran Turismo 5
  • Contribute to the construction of the WhereCloud city in MineCraft
  • Ensure your FitBit is up to date.

The Requirements?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of OOP software design and patterns
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ and/or Java (.NET is a plus)
  • Good knowledge of software testing and profiling
  • Experience with Cocoa, Android
  • Experience with Web Development (HTML/CSS/Javascript) and server-side technologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of usability and UXP is a plus
  • Good communication and writing skills

Swix is Looking for a Developer!

This could be your dream job!  Our little team needs to grow.  We are going to be looking for another developer so we can start working on our 3rd social media analytics app!

Let me just say, that SWIX is a great place to work.  So far we’re 4 super fun people sitting up on the 2nd floor of a cozy building overlooking Byward Market Square.  We’re working in a hot space (Social Media) and getting to lead the way as the world figures out how to get real business value out of this crazy social media thing.  We like to push the envelope and raise the bar with anything we take on, which means it’s never dull or boring around here.

We’re looking for a web developer to work with Python/Django/MySQL/Redis on the back-end and the usual browser side stuff on the front end.  You’ll get to make a big impact on the product you’re building and get in on the ground floor of a growing startup with a bright future.  Not only will you learn a ton, but have fun doing it.

Ideally, we’re trying to find someone who has up to a few years professional coding experience (i.e. 0 to 3 years), who’s hungry, ambitious and wants to kick ass in the software world.  Our team is quite social, well rounded, and personality will be a big influencing factor in us finding just the right person for the job.
